rispost 3GP is Coming

March 12th, 2007

3GP is next generation technology based on MPEG 4 format. This file format is playable on 3G mobile phones. All the latest 3G Mobile phones support 3GP files as it is now industry standard. The technology is getting more popular as many 3G mobile phones have entered the market and prices are cheap. 3GP stores and delivers high quality format videos. 3GP Videos are new cutting-edge technology where you can carry all your favorite music videos with you and share them with your friends.

In the market you can find many converters and if you are not familiar with those then you can download mobile videos from the different sites or search Google using the search term “3GP Videos”. You will find many sites that are offering 3GP files.

Most people ask questions after they have downloaded the files to their PC and are able to play the file. For them, the answer is quite simple, you can play those files using Real Media Player or Quick Time for windows.

Sometimes due to compression versions you can see the quality video on PC but on Mobile phone as the screen resolution is small these videos work even bettter especially on 3G mobile phones.

rispost Kevin Federline is a Loser No More?

January 2nd, 2007

federlineWhat do you do if you are one of the biggest losers in the world?  Join the World Wrestling Federation and kick-butt.  Kevin Federline may have been an undisputed loser on the Billboard albums chart and at the concert box office in 2006, but Britney Spears’ soon-to-be-ex-husband started off 2007 with a bottle of champagne and a cigar in the winner’s circle on Monday night, prevailing in his first official match as a wrestler.

In the opening contest of WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” program — which aired live from Miami’s American Airlines Arena — Federline pinned champ John Cena for a three count.

The backup-dancer-turned-wannabe-MC — who told the “Raw” audience a couple of weeks back that he no longer wants to be called K-Fed — showed few in-ring abilities in his 10 minutes of fight time. It was mostly posturing from Federline, but he did manage to get Cena — one of wrestling’s biggest names,  in a headlock and a “Masterlock”/ full nelson.

rispost Around the World…

December 3rd, 2006

Let’s put our ears to the speaker and see if we can hear some juicy music rumors, gossip and plain-old news from around the word.

-There was an interesting Court approval that will allow 67 Malawian groups to take part in the judicial review of the US singer’s adoption of one-year-old David Banda.  Under the court order, David was to stay with Madonna for 18 months during which time his progress would be monitored by Malawi officials.

The human rights groups are concerned that the Malawian government may have cut legal corners to “fast-track” the celebrity adoption. They argue regulations must be followed to protect children.  I think this is a good thing but part of me has to believe that any rumor of wrong-doing has been exaggerated.  I think the kid is lucky.

-The Killers were forced to cancel a show in Dublin because frontman Brandon Flowers has bronchitis.  It was to be held at the Point Theatre.  Friends of the group have let the rumor slip that there is more to it that a cough and doctors advised him to fly home and be admitted to hospital for further tests.

-And how about the rumors and gossip surrounding Britney Spear’s new friendship with Paris Hilton?  Britney Spears and Paris Hilton’s lesbian fling?  I know about 2 billion men out there hope so!

rispost So Ya Wanna Be a Music Star?

July 21st, 2006

Every time I see a concert or a popular song being played I see plenty of youngsters and adults alike mimicking the songs and moves of the stars.  It got me thinking, what would it actually take for these people to get into the music business.  I came across this wonderfully illustrated article written by Jerome Ford. Here are some picks.

Everything needs a solid base.  As for getting a record deal, it can be easily dome with proper planning. There are many experienced professionals in the music biz who will tell you that the music biz is all business. I agree. With any business, proper planning is the key to success in the music biz. This article describes some simple steps to plan your success.

Think of your career as a business. Have you assembled your business plan? How do you plan to market? What is your mission statement? Are you going to start your own record label to be distributed by a major, or are you going to use the full service resources of a major label? These are all important issues that you have to have in order to really succeed in the music biz. A music biz plan helps you resolve these issues well in advance.

A lot of recording artists enter the music biz with one big goal “to make it”. These artists see themselves on a big stage in front of thousands of screaming fans, but often that is as far as the planning goes. Artists rarely conduct the planning that it takes to succeed in the music biz.

I’ve yet to speak to an artist who has a business plan. In my experience if you don’t have a business plan, then you shouldn’t plan on being in business. A good business plan will cover your business and legal structure, your marketing model, financial projections, goals, benchmarks and finally what you’ll do after the your career is over.

I’ve met many recording artists who treat the music biz like a glorified hobby. They often don’t have business cards, a website or in many cases, a valid email address. Many more artists don’t have the marketing structure in place that will allow them to get the attention from fans or record labels. Remember that the music biz is all business. If you treat your music career as a hobby then you might as well just play your music for friends and family and be content with people pretending to take you seriously.

Getting attention and interest from record labels is easy if you are on the radar. Many Artist and Repertoire Representatives (A&R Reps) agree that if an artist is making it happen on for themselves (by selling a couple thousand CD’s locally or selling out a 2,000 seat venue) they will get on the major label radar. You can’t get on the radar of the record labels (or your fans) if you are flying by the seat of your pants and living on a prayer.

As referring to the famous quote “failing to plan is planning to fail”.

rispost Keith Richards Undergoes Brain Surgery

May 9th, 2006

Guitarist Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones has undergone surgery in New Zealand to remove pressure from his brain.

Richards, 62, was flown to New Zealand after reportedly falling out of a coconut tree. He was officially said to have suffered “mild concussion”.  Which smells like a cover-up story to me.  At 62 there have still be rumors that Keith parties quite hard!

A newspaper in New Zealand had reported that Richards may have suffered a subdural haematoma, a blood clot on his brain.  But the band has refuted that claim. The band stated today that the operation was a “complete success” and Richards is up and talking with his family.

I hope he gets well and has no complications because the Stones rock!

rispost A Match Made in Heaven….Errr… Hell

May 1st, 2006

Michael Jackson is eyeing a collaboration with rapper 50 Cent.  The first Jackson/50 Cent track will likely be the result of a DJ Whoo Kid mixtape.  Whoo is headed to Behrain in two weeks to take possession of tracks Jackson has been working on in his home studio.

50 Cent’s camp has stated that the rapper has not made a decision on whether he will officially appear with Jackson on any track or on Jackson’s upcoming new album.

Sources say the first single from the new album, “Now That I Found Love,” will be released Nov. 21.   Personally I just can’t see this one working out for either person involved.

rispost Where the Hell Have I Been? Under a Rock!

April 1st, 2006

lee roth

I had no idea the David Lee Roth, THE David Lee Roth had replaced Howard Stern on seven radio stations.  Wow, it is surprising but also sounds kinda stupid, I mean he may look kinda like Howard Stern (a rocker) but anyone that knows anything about Stern knows David Lee Roth would make a very poor substitute, gawd are the radio execs dumb.

Anyways, David Lee Roth says he won’t be jumping ship from his morning radio host gig.  Probably because of all the money he is getting, but poor guy, what a way to go down in history.  This is a disaster that can not be avoided.

rispost Elvis Fans Rejoice – Graceland given ‘landmark’ status

March 27th, 2006

Elivis’s house has received this special status because it has “meaning to all Americans”, according to the US Interior Department.

It was purchased by Presley in 1957 for $103,000 (£59,000) with earnings from his first hit single, Heartbreak Hotel.

Graceland attracts more than 600,000 visitors each year, and becomes one of approximately 2,500 such “landmarks”, in the US.

This is the highest level of recognition that can be awarded to a historic property in the US.
